Maintenance Department Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Department Manager to oversee the maintenance activities of our production facility. As a Maintenance Department Manager at Workwarp, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective equipment maintenance programs, recommending process improvements, and ensuring optimum machine time availability. You will lead a team of maintenance professionals and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business results.

Key Responsibilities:


Develop and maintain an effective Equipment Maintenance program to improve production efficiency and optimize machine time availability
Review plant production equipment to recommend process improvements in quality, cost, efficiencies, yield, and other areas
Analyze data to identify problems and opportunities for improvement in operational and financial performance
Track maintenance schedules for facility equipment to ensure preventive maintenance is current and performed correctly
Record and analyze plant equipment performance data to ensure optimum machine reliability
Regularly inspect plant production support systems and equipment to support effective plant operation
Evaluate and select optimal suppliers for maintenance and repair services
Lead and manage the Maintenance and Calibration portion of the Management System
Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to direct reports to achieve work objectives and improve performance and skills
Train and qualify company associates to install or repair equipment according to company guidelines


Requirements:


Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, technical training, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 7 years of related work experience, with 5 years of managerial experience
Demonstrated ability to support a long-term maintenance plan showing year-over-year improvement in reliability, maintenance KPIs, and maintenance cost
Working knowledge of manufacturing management principles, supply chain capabilities, and regulatory requirements
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement
Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Maintenance Troubleshooting, and Failure Analysis


Preferred Technical Skills:


HACCP experience
ISO management system experience (14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015, and OHSAS 18001:2007)
TPM certification
Continuous improvement experience (ESW, Kaizen, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, etc.)
SAP PM experience
Project management experience
Manage P&L spending controls
Parts inventory management experience
Equipment preventive maintenance management experience
