Rural Carrier Associates (ARCs) -RCAs are versatile, helping deliver mail to rural
If you are looking for a full-time position, you will want the RURAL CARR ASSOC/SRV REG RTE position. This is 5-6 days a week, 50-60 hours at the moment but will transition to a more traditional hours as we get more people on.
Assistant Rural Carriers (ARCs) -ARCs primarily load and deliver packages
If you are just looking for part time position, you will want the ASSISTANT RURAL CARRIER (ARC) position. This is weekends and you can volunteer to come in and assist some days on the week. The only days you are obligated are the weekends and Holidays.
Below are the steps for the process and what each step entails. One important note is you only have 72 hours to respond to each step after you apply for the position online. Be sure to check your email often for the next step. I cannot check on your progress in the hiring process until you get to the conditional job offer step. From that point to the end, I can assist with reminding you of what is missing and help you get across the finish line. End to end the process is 4-6 weeks from application to hire date.

You have 72 hours from receipt of the email to complete the assessment
Two reminder notifications are sent within the 72-hour period until the assessment is completed (if you do not take it, you will be rejected)
This assessment score will tie to your online profile you created and rank you against everyone else that applies in that same job posting by score order
ü DRIVING RECORD
If the position you applied for requires driving, you will receive an invitation to complete the Motor Vehicle Record screening (MVR)
You have 72 hours to respond and complete MVR screening request. (if you do not respond, you will be locked out of receiving the screening request again for 30 days)
ü CONDITIONAL JOB OFFER
When your score is reached, you will receive a job offer via email
You must respond with Accept or Decline within 72 hours. (if you do not respond, you will be rejected)
ü BACKGROUND CHECK
Once you have accepted the job offer, you will receive a request for a background check via email
A secure link will be sent that will allow you access to an online portal to complete this process within 72 hours.
Two reminder notifications are sent within the 72-hour period until the application is completed (if you do not complete it, you will not be considered for employment)
The completed background check is valid for 90 days
ü FINGERPRINTS
Fingerprints need to be captured to complete the background check process
If fingerprints are needed, you will receive an email with contact information to complete the process within 5 days. The USPS utilizes an internal system to process fingerprints
The fingerprint scans remain valid for 90 days
If additional information is needed to complete your hiring process, you will be contacted
Once your background is complete, you will be notified of your start date.
