LPN Outpatient - Cardiology Opportunity at Carilion Clinic
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Cardiology team at Carilion Clinic in Christiansburg, VA. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team in a fast-paced physician practice setting.
Job Summary:
Provide practical nursing support to patients in a physician practice or clinic setting under the direction of a physician or mid-level practitioner
Conduct patient assessments, prepare patients for exams, administer medications, and maintain a clean and safe work environment
Document patient information in electronic medical records and provide patient teaching as directed by the provider
Assist with referral authorizations, lab procedures, and other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing or new graduate of an approved program eligible to sit for the Virginia licensure exam
One year of experience in a physician office preferred
Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Virginia (LPN) and AHA BLS-HCP certification required
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
