The Lost & Found Customer Service Agent position at DFW International Airport is a vital role dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to all visitors. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring that lost items are handled efficiently and effectively. The Lost and Found Department is committed to maintaining a high standard of service, and the agents are expected to perform a broad range of duties that contribute to this goal. As a Customer Service Agent, you will assist customers during business hours by operating and assisting walk-in customers, answering phones, and inputting required information into the Lost and Found system. You will be responsible for researching and verifying the validity of all information before releasing lost items. Additionally, you will collect lost items from terminals and various other areas of the airport grounds, photograph and log these items, and secure them in a lockable container such as a safe. The role also involves the movement of goods and materials in and out of secured lockers, ensuring that all items are accounted for and properly documented. Essential duties include demonstrating strong organizational skills, maintaining a self-driven focus on customer and client satisfaction, and the ability to excel under pressure while meeting extreme deadlines. Effective communication, both verbally and in writing, is crucial, as is the ability to solve daily problems and make quick decisions within the operation. The position requires learning and utilizing Lost and Found software, and candidates must be able to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays. Attention to detail and the ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 70 lbs are also necessary, as well as the capability to drive and operate a vehicle.
