Essential Job Duties
Ā• Implement or monitor processes to reduce property or financial losses
Ā• Investigate known or suspected internal theft, external theft, or vendor fraud
Ā• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to report or investigate crimes
Ā• Conduct store audits to identify problem areas or procedural deficiencies
Ā• Identify and report merchandise or stock shortages
Ā• Inspect buildings, equipment, or access points to determine security risks
Ā• Maintain documentation or reports on security-related incidents or investigations
Ā• Monitor compliance with standard operating procedures for loss prevention, physical security, or risk management
Ā• Prepare written reports on investigations
Ā• Recommend new or improved processes or equipment to reduce risk exposure
Ā• Verify proper functioning of physical security systems, such as closed-circuit televisions, alarms, sensor tag systems, or locks
Ā• Conduct employee background investigations and review reports with operational or human resources managers
Ā• Coordinate with risk management, human resources, or other departments to assist in company programs, investigations, or training
Ā• Recommend methods to reduce potential financial fraud losses
Ā• Investigate known or suspected internal theft, external theft, or vendor fraud

Education and Experience
Ā• High School diploma or equivalent
Ā• 1+ years of work experience in a related field
Ā• Must have advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Physical Demands
Ā• This job is primarily sedentary work. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 90% of the time
Ā• Manual dexterity to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment
Ā• Constant close visual acuity to view a computer screen
Ā• Auditory acuity to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction
Ā• Constant communication to exchange accurate information
Ā• Must be able to work under stress
