Loss Prevention (Security) Officer - Overnight
About the position
The Overnight Loss Prevention Officer at Omni Hotels & Resorts plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests and associates. This position involves patrolling the hotel premises, responding to emergencies, and enforcing hotel policies to maintain a secure environment. The officer will work overnight shifts and is expected to be professional, courteous, and vigilant in their duties.
Responsibilities
Ā Visits all locations requiring special attention as frequently as required.

Ā Performs Security Patrols and Lockdown of various areas of the Resort including restaurants, lobby areas, meeting spaces, guest floors, and back of house areas.

Ā Assists with housekeeping calls and retrieves breakfast menus from guestroom doors.
,
Ā Responds immediately to emergency incidents and security requests.
,
Ā Ensures the safety of guests, associates, and hotel property at all times.
,
Ā Reports in writing on all activities during each shift and delivers oral reports as directed by established security procedures.
,
Ā Performs duties as assigned by the Director of Loss Prevention or Loss Prevention Supervisor.

Ā Creates and maintains the highest standards of security, being professional in attitude, appearance, and application.
,
Ā Monitors associates entering and leaving the hotel, collecting package passes and inspecting parcels.
,
Ā Confiscates unauthorized parcels and notifies the Director of Loss Prevention and appropriate department head.
,
Ā Checks all personnel entering the hotel and provides information and direction upon proper identification.
Requirements
Ā Must be capable of extended periods of time on feet while patrolling the property or working a special detail.
,
Ā Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs.
,
Ā Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
,
Ā Must live within 50 miles of the hotel.
,
Ā Must remain professional and communicate effectively with both guests and other associates.
