Our CAP courses provide credit toward the High School+ diploma, prepare students for the GEDÂź and transition directly into college-level Math and English coursework. Primary teaching responsibilities include contextualized CAP English and Math courses, depending on division needs and instructor's background. This position requires the use of a variety of instructional modalities and extensive use of technology.

This part-time position is an ongoing recruitment in which applications are collected year-round. Positions will be filled as program needs arise.

Position Responsibilities

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Teach CAP English and/or Math classes utilizing techniques and knowledge of the discipline that facilitate student learning.
Effectively use computer applications for instruction, communication where appropriate and maintaining program compliance.
Maintain department curriculum standards.
Provide appropriate means to assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
Use appropriate teaching methods to respond to varying student learning styles.
Participate in relevant department activities supporting the teaching and learning environment.
Work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
Understand and commit to the mission of Clark College.
Qualifications

Position Requirements and Competencies:

Minimum Qualifications:


Master's Degree in Adult Education, Education, or related discipline.
Teaching experience.
Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
Supplemental Information

Salary Statement: Lecture hourly rate is $85.48, and lab hourly rate is $73.01.
