Job description: Ball-Chatham is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our existing Titan Talent as a Paraprofessional at Glenwood High School!
When providing services as a Paraprofessional in the Ball-Chatham school district, individuals can expect to work with a variety of students at all levels of their educational growth. Ball-Chatham paraprofessional's are an integral part of the school community, not only providing support and daily lessons in the classroom, but building a positive path for each student in pursuit of their individual educational goals.

My WHY for being a member of the incredible family of staff at Ball-Chatham School District is 4 parts. My first and most important why is my 8 and 9 year old boys. They are students at Ball Elementary, where I went to school. I work here for them, hands down. I do it so I can be a part of the community where they are growing and learning each day. Not only do I get a closer look at what goes into shaping their minds, which is amazing to see, I get to feel closer to them and what they are doing every day. And they LOVE that Mom works for the schools! They get a chance to see me more often when I visit their school and they learn more about the other schools from me. The second why is because I want to give back and be a better steward in my community where I grew up and where my children are growing up. I wanted a job where I felt like I had a purpose. Working for the District gives me that purpose. I feel that my job, my small part, is important to the children and families in our community. What I do is actually helping others educate children who are our future and that helps strengthen our community. Knowing that I can make a difference every single day makes my job fun and exciting and a place I want to be. The third why is, I am a Titan. I started school in this district in 1978 and have been cheering on Glenwood ever since. I know this district is amazing and I am excited to continue to be a part of it and share its excellence with future Titan generations. My fourth why is me. Working here makes me happy. Ball-Chatham is home. I love coming here every day. I love the people I work with. I love the kids I see every day. I love walking in the schools where I grew up. I love walking in the schools where my children are growing up. I love being a part of this family.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $25.65
WHAT DO PARAPROFESSIONALS DO?
Assist the classroom teacher in providing a positive, safe and academically challenging learning environment for students
Assist teacher/supervisor in instructional matters as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must be 19 years of age or older;
Show proof of one (1) of the following requirements:
Bachelors Degree or higher; OR
60 semester hours of college coursework; OR
High School Diploma or High School Equivalency AND Passing score on ACT Work Keys Test OR Passing score on ETS ParaPro Test
Hold one (1) of the following licenses:
Professional Educators License (PEL); OR
Substitute License (SUB); OR
Educator License with Stipulations-
(ELS-PARA).
