K12 Live Online Tutoring seeks engaging tutors, experienced in Math/English Language Arts/Science/Social Studies/Spanish/French grades of K-12. K12 Online Tutors provide students with an exceptional learning experience. Our skilled tutors are certified teachers and subject matter experts with extensive experience in their academic field. All sessions are personalized for each student based on their learning need. Students join in an engaging virtual room with face-to-face direct instruction. Tutors work from 8 to 4 and work from the comfort of their home.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
Create educational lessons on topics provided by student
Successfully and professionally tutor students to fit their individual needs
Promote high standards for academic success and behavior
Provide a professional biography and picture
Set accurate work scheduled in scheduling system
Meet with students in an online meeting room using web camera
Be prompt and engage student for the entire scheduled session
Report no-shows or issues with the session
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Teaching Certification or Substitute certification
Proficiency in subject matter
Access to reliable Internet
Professional personal and environmental appearance as sessions use web cameras
Certificates and Licenses: Teaching certification or substitute certification
Residency Requirement: Must be a Colorado resident
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Develop positive rapport with students and families
Create an interactive online environment encouraging student engagement
Excellent communication skills
Ability to learn new online systems and platforms quickly
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years teaching or tutoring students

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a persons education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the positions work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employees salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the positions level and expected contribution, and the employees benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
Exempt (salary): Post annual salary
We anticipate the salary range to be $50,000. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individuals compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
