Job Title: Logistics Coordinator - Shift 1 Duration: 1 Month Location: Clackamas, OR 97015 Shift details: (Working time and working days): Wednesday through Saturday 3:30pm to 2:00am. Onsite Position Summary: Assist the Dispatcher with daily duties and coordinate backhaul. Essential Job Functions: • Model "Customer 1st" behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service • Complete electronic download of Purchase Orders for fleet pick up • Monitor itrade website multiple times daily; check for new produce purchase orders tendered to the fleet • Allocate backhaul purchase orders to the fleet or outside carriers based upon capacity • Schedule pick-up appointments with vendors • Schedule delivery appointments in One Network • Reconcile previous days purchase orders to maintain timely receiving including all purchase orders destined to Puyallup • Communicate daily with Clackamas and Puyallup receiving • Prepare trip sheets and bills of lading • Use the Navis yard system to identify trailer locations and their arrival and departure times • Use the Peoplenet On Board Computer (OBC) system to track driver locations • Make log corrections in Peoplenet • Assist drivers with use of the Peoplenet kiosk • Add entries in CAMS to add odelet stops, cube, and weight and edit pallet counts • Key arrival times into Transview • Answer phones and radios • Prepare various weekly and period reports for backhaul, Alaska Health and Beauty Aids (HABA) shipments, and on-time delivery • Communicate with drivers and vendors to eliminate delays, improve loading techniques to minimize damage, and verify correct shipping temperatures • Conduct trailer and tractor physical inventories.• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation Behaviors/Skills: Leadership behaviors needed to successfully perform this position are: • Puts the Customer First - Anticipates customer needs, champions for the customer, acts with customers in mind, exceeds customers' expectations, gains customers' trust and respect. • Communicates Effectively and Candidly - Communicates clearly and directly, is approachable, relates well to others, engages people and helps them understand change, provides and seeks feedback, articulates clearly, actively listens.• Achieves Results Through Teamwork Is open to diverse ideas, works inclusively and collaboratively, holds self and others accountable, involves others to accomplish individual and team goals. • Leads Through Positive Influence Demonstrates strong character, builds partnerships, models a conscious balance between work and personal life, takes personal responsibility for own development, role models leadership qualities such as motivation, inspiration, passion and trust. • Coaches and Develops Others - Develops and cares about associates, builds effective teams, helps people be their best, values and manages diversity, provides candid and constructive feedback.• Leads Change and Innovation - Challenges the status quo, embraces technology, puts forward creative ideas, champions and implements process improvements, gathers the ideas of others, demonstrates good judgment about which ideas will work. • Executes with Excellence - Is action oriented, drives for results, sets clear expectations and milestones, reviews progress, acts decisively, solves problems, can be counted on to consistently meet or exceed goals. • Provides Clear and Strategic Direction - Plans and organizes well, sets a clear and simple course of action, stays focused on the most important priorities, has the ability to visualize and plan for the future, understands the industry and marketplace.• Safety Awareness -Identifying and correcting conditions that affect employee safety; upholding safety standards.
