Job Summary:
Type of Position: Full-Time
Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 per year, based on experience
Working Hours: 40+ hours per week

Job Description:
FedEx Freight, a leader in the transportation and logistics industry, seeks a dedicated and professional Local CDL Class A Truck Driver. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to designated locations within the local area.
Responsibilities:
– Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials to customers.
– Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, brakes and cold storage.
– Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements.
– Communicate effectively with dispatch and management on work orders, changes, and updates.
– Follow all regulations regarding hours of service, logbooks, and inspections.
– Maintaining a clean and safe vehicle.
Requirements:
– Valid CDL Class A license.
– Clean driving record with no traffic violations.
– Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
– Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
– Proven work experience as a truck driver.
– Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
– Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.
Educational Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent.
– Completion of truck driving school or relevant training.
