Description
The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist oversees the full accounts payable function, ensuring accurate, timely processing of invoices and payments while maintaining strong internal controls and vendor relationships. This role manages the AP Specialist, improves processes, and ensures compliance with company policies and accounting standards.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee daily accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, payment runs, and expense reimbursementsLead, train, and mentor the accounts payable specialist to ensure accuracy and efficiencyReview and process invoices, payment batchesMaintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulationsResolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies in a timely and professional mannerMonitor AP aging reports and ensure timely payments while optimizing cash flowSupport month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and accrualsIdentify opportunities for process improvements and automation within accounts payable
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field3+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience2+ years of supervisory or management experienceStrong knowledge of accounts payable processes and internal controlsExperience with accounting/ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite, Ramp), Preferred but not requiredAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExcellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsSkills & CompetenciesAttention to detail and high level of accuracyStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong vendor managementCommitment to confidentiality and ethical accounting practicesWork EnvironmentPrimarily remote-basedStandard business hours with expectation of overtime during close periodsAnnual Base Compensation range: $70,000 - $85,000 (commensurate with experience)Living Proof is committed to an inclusive workplace with equal opportunities for all.
