We're currently seeking a talented and passionate Live Operations Game Designer to join our team and contribute to the success of our NFL branded mobile game, NFL Rivals. This remote position offers the unique opportunity to shape the live operational strategies, content configuration, and tool enhancements of a high-profile game, ensuring an engaging and seamless experience for our players. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with product managers, producers, and creative teams to execute live operations for NFL Rivals; • Engage in data entry and data manipulation tasks to configure game content accurately and efficiently; • Participate in and contribute ideas to discussions aimed at improving tools and workflows for live operations; • Utilize content, game mechanics, and systems to help design and implement compelling live ops strategies and seasonal narratives that resonate with NFL Rivals players; • Work with cross-functional teams to create and manage global live events, ensuring their smooth operation and troubleshooting issues as needed; • Ensure brand integrity by maintaining a consistent and authentic NFL experience within the game; • Regularly communicate with all stakeholders about content requirements, implementation processes, and potential risks. Qualifications: • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in content creation or content management, ideally in the mobile gaming sector; • Expertise in utilizing spreadsheets for manipulating, summarizing, and managing large datasets; • Some knowledge of game balance, pacing, and the economic models relevant to free-to-play games; • Passionate about video games, with a strong understanding of mobile gaming trends and player expectations; • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment; • A proactive problem solver, adaptable to dynamic situations and capable of managing priorities appropriately in a fast-paced environment; • Familiarity with Unity game development, tool development, or general scripting is highly desirable; • Previous experience in related fields such as UI design, art, programming, or copywriting is a plus. • NFL knowledge is beneficial. The expected base salary range for this role is based on the location where the employee’s work will be performed and is aligned to one of our three compensation pay range tiers. Base pay is just one part of Mythical’s total compensation package, which is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their efforts and contributions. This role is also eligible to participate in Mythical’s Corporate Bonus and Equity Plan. Pay Ranges by Tier: Tier 1: $127,000 - $175,000 Tier 2: $114,000 - $157,000 Tier 3: $102,000 - $140,000 Locations by Tier: Tier 1 Locations: San Francisco Bay Area - California Tier 2 Locations: Remainder of California (outside of the SF Bay Area), Washington state, Massachusetts state, New York state Tier 3 Locations: All other states outside of California, Washington, Massachusetts, and New York • The role is open to candidates in the following states on a remote basis: California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Texas & Washington The base salary for each successful applicant will be dependent on a variety of factors, including work location, education, qualifications, competencies, relevant work experience, business needs, and market demands.
