Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Paralegal to join our team and support our attorneys through all phases of personal injury litigation. This will include discovery, expert discovery, and trial. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and comfortable managing a dynamic caseload in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses in state and federal courts, utilizing electronic filing systems (e.g., ICCES/Colorado Courts E‑Filing, CM/ECF).
• Manage all aspects of discovery: track deadlines, coordinate disclosures, summarize medical records, create privilege logs, and prepare deposition summaries.
• Calendar and coordinate depositions, independent medical examinations, mediations, hearings, and trial dates.
• Maintain detailed case files and update the case‑management database (Clio/Needles or similar) with notes, tasks, and deadlines.
• Prepare demand packages and communicate settlement statements.
• Communicate with insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, experts, and clients.
• Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, drafting witness and exhibit lists, preparing trial notebooks, and arranging for subpoenas and service of process.
• Attend trials and hearings as needed to provide on‑site support for counsel.
• Ensure strict compliance with all court rules, procedural deadlines, and ethical obligations.

Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of paralegal experience (personal injury and litigation experience preferred).
• Thorough knowledge of civil litigation procedures, discovery rules, and e‑filing in Utah and U.S. District Court.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize, multi‑task, and thrive under deadlines while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
• Willingness to use AI tools to assist in your work.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in drafting initial disclosures, discovery requests, discovery responses, statements of discovery issues, subpoenas, expert disclosures, and pretrial disclosures.
• Litigation experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) or other language proficiency.
• Willingness to provide unreasonable hospitality to clients and keep them well informed of the case process and development.
