Litigation Paralegal (Part-Time, Remote) – Los Angeles / Southern California

Tra Law Group is looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team. We are a small Los Angeles-based law firm with a practice that is approximately 50% litigation and 50% transactional, and we have been expanding our employment and personal injury matters. This is a fully remote, part-time role (15–20 hours/week) with the potential to grow into a full-time position within the next year, depending on fit and firm needs. We are looking for someone who is experienced, reliable, and highly detail-oriented — someone who can take ownership of tasks and deliver quality work with minimal oversight. This is an important role within our firm. The right candidate will be self-starting, organized, and comfortable working in a remote environment where clear communication and follow-through matter. Key Responsibilities The Litigation Paralegal will assist attorneys with substantive litigation support, including: • Preparing and organizing litigation documents and case materials • Drafting discovery requests and assisting with discovery responses • Managing deadlines, calendaring, and maintaining case status updates • Filing pleadings and other documents with court clerks (primarily California state courts) • Assisting with drafting pleadings, motions, declarations, and supporting exhibits for attorney review • Summarizing complex documents, records, and case materials (including medical and employment records) • Coordinating record requests, subpoenas, and follow-up with providers and third parties • Assisting with deposition preparation and related logistics • Conducting legal research and compiling findings for attorney review • Communicating professionally with clients, opposing counsel, vendors, and court personnel as needed Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: • Approximately 2+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal (California litigation strongly preferred) • A paralegal certificate (or equivalent qualifying education/experience under California requirements) • Strong familiarity with California civil procedure, litigation timelines, and filing practices • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters at once • Comfort working independently and taking ownership of assignments • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and PDF document handling • A willingness to learn and adopt new technology and systems Work Style / Fit This position is best for someone who is: • Highly organized and detail-oriented (“Type A” in the best way) • Reliable, proactive, and consistent with follow-through • Comfortable working remotely without constant micromanagement • Able to work efficiently and accurately the first time • Professional, responsive, and collaborative Compensation & Schedule • Part-time: approximately 15–20 hours/week • Pay: starting at $35/hour, depending on experience • Location: fully remote (Los Angeles / Southern California preferred) • Growth opportunity: potential transition to full-time within 12 months for the right candidate How to Apply (Do Not Apply Through LinkedIn) To apply, please email [email protected] with the subject line: “Litigation Paralegal Application – [Your Name]” Please include the following: • Your resume in PDF format (required) • A short email introducing yourself, including your relevant litigation experience, the types of cases you’ve worked on, and why you’re interested in the role Applications submitted through LinkedIn will not be reviewed.
