Litigation Paralegal – Part-Time, Remote

We are a fully remote law firm seeking an experienced litigation paralegal to support our attorneys on a part-time, as-needed basis. This role is best suited for a seasoned paralegal who is comfortable working independently in a remote environment and stepping in efficiently when matters require support. Required Experience • Litigation paralegal experience in California and Washington strongly preferred • Working knowledge of state and federal court procedures • E-filing experience in California and Washington courts, including compliance with local rules • Prior experience working in a fully remote or virtual law firm a plus • Availability during Pacific Time Zone business hours (same or adjacent time zone strongly preferred) • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight Responsibilities • Draft, format, and file pleadings, motions, and litigation documents • Manage e-filing and service in state and federal courts • Maintain litigation calendars, deadlines, and tickler systems • Prepare and manage discovery, including requests, responses, and productions • Organize and maintain electronic case files • Assist with trial preparation, hearings, and depositions • Communicate professionally with attorneys, court staff, opposing counsel, and vendors • Accurately track time and task work in a virtual environment Preferred Skills and Background • Civil litigation experience (business, commercial, employment, or similar) • Strong familiarity with local court rules and filing requirements • Excellent writing, formatting, and proofreading skills • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills • Experience using Clio for legal practice management a plus • Comfort with cloud-based legal technology and document management systems • Reliable, responsive, and able to manage fluctuating workloads Position Details • 1099 independent contractor • Part-time, as-needed (hours will vary by matter) • Fully remote • Competitive hourly rate based on experience • No health or other benefits as an independent contractor We are looking for someone who knows litigation, understands remote practice, and can be trusted to get filings done properly without supervision.Next Steps We will review all applications and resumes on a rolling basis.
