SUMMARY:
Linux Systems Engineer / Developer designs, builds, and maintains robust Linux-based infrastructure and tools that support mission-critical applications. This hybrid role combines deep systems expertise with development capabilities to automate operations, enhance performance, and ensure system reliability across cloud and on-prem environments. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop solutions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, configure, and maintain Linux servers and operating environments


Develop automation scripts and tools using Bash, Python, or similar languages
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application-level issues
Implement security best practices, including patching, access controls, and vulnerability remediation
Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize system integration and deployment workflows
Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and recovery plans
Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices using tools
Stay current with emerging Linux technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience
