Seeking: LinkedIn Ads Strategist (Contract Position)

Position Summary:

The Senior Ads Strategist’s primary focus is owning the success of LinkedIn ads client accounts, including managing client interactions and consulting on the strategy most likely to achieve results for our clients.

This position will work directly with the team of Ads Specialists and Designers to manage, review, and guide all facets of the account. This position will facilitate campaign meetings with clients to align on strategy, audiences, offers, and copy angles. This position will also be a top contributor in handling more advanced and complex client accounts.

This role will contribute to best practices and templates and continually improve the process & results. This role will be an active member of the team, participating in team meetings and contributing to ongoing learning. This person will seek new training and tests new advertising features, bringing insights and learnings back to the department to improve our overall knowledge and processes.

A great Ads Strategist will have worked with different B2B businesses, audiences, and offers, as well as many 3rd party tools and related channels that B2B marketing teams use.

Key Measures for Success:
• Retains clients for long-term projects, over one year.
• Meets or exceeds LinkedIn ads performance standards.
• Guides effective ad creation including strategic ad copy and visually appealing images that are delivered and approved by the client with few edits (one round).
• Manages client accounts and team to streamline effort and work hours, and maintain a positive ROI for the agency.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Campaign Strategy
• Define target audiences based on research and client’s input.
• Perform competitor and market research.
• Organize pain points, benefits and other brand angles.
• Advise on offers and funnels.
• Compile and own the campaign strategy.

Client Relations
• Facilitate meetings with client stakeholders to gain understanding of the business and agreement on the campaign strategy.
• Lead client meetings, own client communications via Zoom, email, and phone.
• Advise clients on marketing and strategy topics.

Campaign Management
• Build campaigns and ads on LinkedIn.
• Manage account budgets and campaign bids.
• Analyze performance stats to find optimizations opportunities.
• Optimize ads and campaigns for the highest conversion rates and ROI.
• Report on campaign performance.

Team Management
• Oversee and manage ad specialists, copywriters, and designers.
• Review, edit, and approve all assets before they are sent to the client.
• Coach and share best practices internally.

Copywriting & Ad Creation
• Use copywriting techniques to write effective ad copy.
• Follow platform best practices.
• Apply revisions and edits from stakeholders.
• Design ad images in Canva.

Background and Experience:
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with LinkedIn advertising.
• 2+ years of experience with client account management.
• 5+ years of experience with digital marketing.
• Experience working with many different businesses, including technology verticals.
• Marketing agency experience: Strongly recommended.
• Location: USA or Canada

Pay Range: $33-43/hour
