Line Editor Needed to Humanize and Polish Wellness Book (AI-Assisted Draft)
We’re a small indie publishing team producing a series of emotional wellness books, and we’re looking for a skilled editor to help us polish and humanize AI-assisted manuscripts. These books are already well-structured, but we want them to sound warm, natural, and emotionally engaging — not robotic. We are looking for someone to take on the next 1–2 manuscripts (possibly 3) in the series.

Genre: Nonfiction / Wellness / Therapy
Tone: Conversational, validating, gentle, and emotionally intelligent
Word Count: ~47,000 words per book
Drafts are written with AI + human input and need smoothing and sharpening
What We're Looking For:
Excellent line editing and flow-polishing skills
Experience editing nonfiction or wellness/therapy content
Ability to remove robotic or repetitive phrasing
Sensitivity to tone and audience (women 30s–50s, emotionally overloaded, seeking calm)
Budget:
$300 per book
Fixed price per manuscript (~47k words)
1–2 books immediately; potential for a 3rd
