Job Highlights Compensation: Competitive salary with opportunities for growth and development Location: 100% remote work opportunity (not available in California, New York, Colorado) Start Date: Immediate openings available Career Growth: Opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and supportive environment Company Culture: Collaborative, innovative, and inclusive work environment with a team of experienced professionals Key Responsibilities As a Life Underwriter with TEKsystems, your primary responsibilities will include: Completing given cases and assignments in a timely and accurate manner Ordering exams and identifying total risk for life insurance applications Reviewing medical records and prescription history to assess risk Screening medication data for life insurance applications and analyzing high-risk medications Assessing adverse health information relating to classification of risk Screening life insurance applications for selection of standard and substandard risks Evaluating health information received with add-ons and reinstatements MIB code reporting and interpretation of MIB code data Identifying medical terminology and off-label medication uses Essential Qualifications To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have: 5+ years of experience as a Life Underwriter Experience working with iPipeline's Resonant Underwriting workbench Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to identify off-label medication uses Experience working with case limits of $100,000 or more Experience working with signing authorities over $100k Familiarity with programs such as: Swiss Re, RGA, underwriting Manuals, Score, underwrite.me, John Hancock Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working in a remote environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Skills and Competencies To succeed as a Life Underwriter with TEKsystems, you will need to possess: Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately assess risk Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to identify off-label medication uses Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At TEKsystems, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for professional growth and development.
