Conducts brief mental health/substance use assessments, crisis planning, referral to treatment and brief solution focused therapy to individuals in crisis. All engagement takes place in an office setting. Person must have an unencumbered license issued by a governing body regulating human service professions. Must have the knowledge, skills, and abilities required by the population and age to be served may deliver supports within the requirements of the staff definition specified in the service definitions. Relies on knowledge, experience, and judgment with limited supervision and direction to provide quality services. RHA Behavioral Health Services is looking for licensed social workers or counselors (provisional accepted) to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team providing support to individuals seeking crisis services. Pay Range: base per hour + shift differential Job Responsibilities As a licensed clinical professional you will be responsible for various tasks including but not limited to: Facilitating relationships and serving as a link between the company, the hospital system, local mental health agencies, law enforcement, EMS and other stakeholders. Performing Case Management functions of linking and arranging for services and referrals Working closely with other clinical/professional staff to maintain communication and providing feedback to ensure proper triage, assessment and linkage to appropriate level of care Complete crisis assessment, lethality assessments and other clinical tools to determine the treatment course Utilize crisis de-escalation skills when necessary to ensure safety of clients and staff Education: Master’s Degree or Higher Must be fully or provisionally licensed in North Carolina as a LCSW/LCMHC Definitions: Populations Served Include: Mentally Ill-Child, Mentally Ill- Adult, Substance Abuse-Adult, Substance Abuse-Child Additional requirements of the Behavioral Health Specialist include: Valid driver’s license and automotive insurance required CPR, first aid, NCI and/or relevant certification, a plus #INDBH Pre-employment screening: Complete criminal background Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities) Drug testing Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements. Proof of employment history or references (if required) Positions that require driving Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
