As a School-Based LPN, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special education needs, working collaboratively with teachers and staff to provide exceptional care. The life skills program is a large and dynamic team that focuses on helping students develop essential skills for everyday life. As a School-Based LPN, you will be an integral part of this team, working closely with students, teachers, and staff to ensure the well-being and success of our students.

Job Summary

We are looking for a licensed and experienced LPN to provide medical support to students with special education needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct care, administering medications, and supporting students with medical needs. This is a 35-hour per week position, starting on September 6, 2023, and ending on June 13, 2024, with the possibility of renewal.

Key Responsibilities:


Provide medical support to students with special education needs, including administering medications, and performing medical procedures as needed.
Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to develop and implement individualized care plans for students.
Support students with medical needs, including those who are medically fragile, and provide direct care as required.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of student medical information.
Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of life skills program goals and objectives.
Stay up-to-date with best practices and current trends in special education and school nursing.


Requirements:

Essential Qualifications:


Current LPN license in the state of New Hampshire.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Experience working with students with special education needs, preferably in a school setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Preferred Qualifications:


Experience with life skills programs or working with students with medical needs.
Familiarity with special education laws and regulations.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
