We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Emergency Care Center (ECC) at our facility in Caldwell, NJ. As an LPN in the ECC, you will play a crucial role in providing prompt and effective nursing care to patients in emergency situations. Job Summary and Qualifications As an LPN in the ECC, you will be responsible for assisting registered nurses and physicians in providing direct patient care, administering medications, and performing various nursing procedures. You will need to have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations. Key Responsibilities: Assess patients' conditions and prioritize needs based on acuity Administer medications and perform various nursing procedures as directed by registered nurses and physicians Provide direct patient care, including vital sign measurement, wound care, and other clinical procedures Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Participate in triage and emergency care activities Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members Essential Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an LPN in an acute care or emergency care setting Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program leading to licensure as an LPN Current and unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Preferred Qualifications: Experience in providing emergency care and triaging patients Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications Continuing education in emergency nursing or relevant specialty areas Skills and Competencies Required for Success To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize patient needs based on acuity Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Centers Healthcare, we are committed to providing our team members with opportunities for growth and development.
