Job Summary As a Licensed Practical Nurse - Behavioral Health at Monument Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in an ambulatory setting. Working collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals, you will provide direct and indirect patient care, implement nursing procedures and therapies, and participate in ongoing education and training initiatives. This is a 100% remote opportunity, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home and maintain a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care to designated patients under the supervision of a physician or Registered Nurse (RN), including assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and evaluating treatment outcomes. Conduct nursing procedures and therapies, such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and performing medical treatments, while adhering to clinic protocols and standards. Collaborate with healthcare providers and RNs to develop and implement individualized care plans, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring that all documentation is precise, clear, and concise. Participate in ongoing education and training initiatives, including onboarding and mentoring of new clinical staff, to promote professional growth and development. Engage in pre-visit planning and prepare examination and treatment areas according to clinic standards, ensuring a seamless and efficient patient experience. Execute autonomous nurse visits with authorization, based on departmental regulations and adequate supervision, to promote patient engagement and satisfaction. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing. Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of South Dakota. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Preferred Qualifications: 1+ year of healthcare experience, preferably in a behavioral health or ambulatory setting. Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software applications. Basic life support certification (BLS) and/or behavioral health certification (e.g., CPNP, PMHNP). Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patient assignments. Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.
