This position will be located on site in Melbourne, FL.In this role, you will lead the execution and management of facilities projects that support the sustaining infrastructure and program facilitation requirements. This will include:Gather, review, and finalize facility requirements data, equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, schedules, and construction feasibilityPlan, design, and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of buildings, structures, equipment, and other facilitiesCoordinate with Architectural and Engineering firms to develop design criteria and to prepare and review detailed drawingsPrepare Scopes of Work and supporting documents for procurement of design and construction servicesReview cost estimates to include design, equipment, installation, labor and materials, construction, and other related costsInspect the construction and installation progress to ensure conformance with established requirements, plans, specifications, and schedulesManage and execute multiple facilities projects simultaneouslyForecast and report on project status, including key metrics for risk, cost, and scheduleProduce and implement risk mitigation and schedule recovery plans as requiredBasic Qualifications for Level 4 Senior Principal Facilities Engineer:Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or Architecture/Construction with 8 years experience of project management, construction management, or related facilities experienceOR 6 years of experience with a Master's DegreeOR 3 years of experience with a PhDAdvanced proficiency with design contracts and design reviewsAbility to review, comprehend, and advise on construction drawings and specificationsAbility to utilize Microsoft Office software applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and WordMust have the ability to obtain and maintain active DoD Secret ClearancePreferred Qualifications:Current active DoD Secret ClearanceExperience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project or other scheduling softwareExperience with design and construction of classified facilitiesExperience with Building Automation Systems and ControlsExperience with IT network requirements, design, and constructionSalary Range: $107,800.00 - $161,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
