Legal Transcriber Remote
KLJ Transcription is looking for experienced legal transcribers for NJ Superior Court work. We offer independent contractor positions with pay rates that exceed industry standards, the ability to make your own schedule, on-the-job training, merit raises, and a fully work-from-home opportunity. You must have excellent grammar skills and great listening skills, as verbatim is an essential part of the job. Also needed is an understanding of court transcripts, legal verbiage, and have the ability to transcribe four-plus speakers. Must be able to follow the correct format for transcripts as mandated by the NJ Superior Court. Requirements Minimum of 2 years’ experience transcribing hearings, trials and various other recordings with multiple speakers. Excellent communication skills via email and telephone, along with the ability to meet strict deadlines. Word Perfect Foot Pedal and Headset. Computer and reliable internet access. Typing Skills – Although there is no WPM requirement, the ability to type quickly and accurately is essential for this position. AAERT certification accepted.
