Job description: Direct Counsel is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Data Entry Assistant to join a prestigious firm on a long-term contract basis. The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable working with confidential legal information. This role is crucial in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our digital case tracking systems.Key Responsibilities:Accurately input legal case data into internal databases and tracking spreadsheets.Review entered data for accuracy and completeness; correct discrepancies or escalate issues as needed.Update and maintain legal records with consistent and timely data entry practices.Collaborate with legal teams to ensure up-to-date case documentation.Utilize Google Suite and Microsoft Excel to manage and track case progress and status.Qualifications:Proven experience in legal data entry, administrative support, or a similar role.Strong proficiency in Google Sites and Microsoft Excel (including formulas, filters, and formatting).Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience in a legal, compliance, or document management environment.Familiarity with legal terminology and case management systems.
Expected salary: $25 - 35 per hour
