Legal & Compliance Manager – Digital Assets & Product Review
About the Role
Gate US is seeking a highly motivated Legal & Compliance Manager to join our regulatory and risk management team. This role will be responsible for reviewing and advising on new token listings, product launches, staking services, and marketing initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable U.S. laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will combine strong legal knowledge with practical compliance expertise in the digital asset and financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities
New Asset Review
• Conduct legal and compliance due diligence on new token listings, including regulatory and risk assessments.
• Ensure all asset onboarding processes meet U.S. regulatory expectations.
New Product & Service Approval
• Review and advise on new product proposals (e.g., staking, yield products, new trading features) for legal and compliance implications.
• Develop and implement approval frameworks, policies, and documentation.
Marketing & Campaign Oversight
• Review marketing materials, promotions, and campaign activities for compliance with U.S. securities, advertising, and consumer protection regulations.
• Provide clear guidance to business and marketing teams to ensure compliant messaging.
Regulatory Monitoring & Implementation
• Track and analyze developments in U.S. federal and state digital asset regulations (SEC, CFTC, FinCEN, state regulators).
• Translate requirements into operational compliance policies and controls.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with internal legal, compliance, product, and operations teams to align business initiatives with regulatory standards.
• Support internal and external audits, as well as responses to regulatory inquiries.
Qualifications
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent legal qualification strongly preferred; compliance certifications a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in legal, compliance, or risk management, ideally within digital assets, fintech, or financial services.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. securities laws, commodities laws, AML requirements, and state-level digital asset regulation.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and advisory skills with the ability to balance legal requirements and business goals.
• Excellent communication skills, able to provide practical guidance to non-legal stakeholders.
