Position: Legal Billing Manager - Global Team Leader
Compensation: Competitive salary ($200,000 - $220,000 per year, commensurate with experience)
Location: Hybrid work arrangement (2 days in office, Manhattan, NY)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM EST
Start Date: Immediate openings available


Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Legal Billing Manager to lead our global billing team. The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of overall legal billing experience, with a majority of that being in a management level role or title. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in utilizing Aderant or Elite 3E billing, coding, and invoicing accounting software, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities


Lead a strong global billing team for a global law firm, ensuring optimal day-to-day operations of department functions
Develop and maintain local and global departmental workflow processes, goals, and supporting objectives for assigned staff
Provide problem-solving guidance and resolution on a global basis, analyzing reports to determine trends and facilitate effective billing and collections strategies
Meet with partners as needed to discuss goals/objectives, issues, and provide updates on billing and client analysis projects
Review outstanding balance reports and implement strategies to optimize billing and collections
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, making recommendations for process improvements and enhancements


Essential Qualifications


Bachelor's degree required
10+ years of legal billing work experience, with at least 5 years of management level experience or title
Experience utilizing Aderant or Elite 3E billing, coding, and invoicing accounting software
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with partners, clients, and team members
Proven track record of success in leading a global billing team and implementing effective billing strategies


Preferred Qualifications


Experience working in a hybrid or remote work environment
Familiarity with other billing software and systems
Certifications or specialized training in legal billing or accounting
