Lease & WIC Compliance Analyst

About the position

The Lease & WIC Compliance Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that all lease agreements and Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program operations comply with federal, state, and organizational regulations. This position involves thorough analysis and monitoring of lease contracts and WIC program documentation to identify and mitigate compliance risks. The analyst will collaborate closely with legal, finance, and program management teams to maintain accurate records and support audit readiness. By proactively addressing compliance issues, the analyst helps safeguard the organization from potential legal and financial penalties. Ultimately, this role ensures that lease and WIC program activities align with regulatory standards, promoting operational integrity and organizational accountability.

Responsibilities
• Interface with real estate broker and operations team on identification, LOI, and lease agreement reviews to support new store growth
• Liaise with landlord and operations team to ensure tenant improvement reimbursements are filed and received promptly
• Correspond with landlords as required on routine issuest
• Perform routine audits of CAM charges as required
• Monitor lease agreements to ensure compliance in all regards
• Manage the process of lease extensions and renewals.
• Support selection, implementation, and maintenance of a Lease Administration system
• Collaborating with the operations team, process all WIC applications for new store locations
• Work directly with TX WIC on compliance issues, following up with the operations team on a timely basis to ensure remediation is completed
• Maintain and track project schedule and cost for all new store builds
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure alignment of new store opening schedule changes
• Prepare all related schedules for monthly reporting to management
• Other duties as assigned.
• Support selection and implementation of a Lease Administration system with go-live Q3 2026
• Provide timely and courteous support to internal stakeholders, responding to accounting inquiries and requests within 2 business days, and maintaining a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
• Maintain a mindset of continuous improvement, identifying and proposing solutions to remove obstacles and drive efficiencies.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or other related field
• 5 years’ experience in lease administration or accounting, preferably in a retail environment
• Proficiency in accounting software, NetSuite experience is highly desired
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational, planning, and priority-setting skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic team player
