About the position Responsibilities • Manage a team of lawyers and regulatory specialists focused on regulatory topics such as global telecommunications and digital accessibility. • Provide strategic legal advice and support on telecommunications regulations and lawful intercept laws. • Develop policies, guidelines, and procedures to promote compliance with lawful intercept requirements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and sales, to implement legal strategies that enable business objectives. • Partner with Cisco's Government Affairs team to help shape evolving regulations. • Recommend pragmatic solutions to potential compliance issues. Requirements • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and licensed in good standing. • 10+ years of relevant in-house legal and/or law firm experience with a focus on telecommunications regulations and lawful intercept laws. • Proven leadership skills with a track record of motivating and engaging legal professionals. • Strong experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop regulatory compliance strategies. • Excellent presentation and written communication skills to both business and legal audiences. Nice-to-haves • Experience working in a large technology company or similar industry. • Experience working with regulatory bodies and industry groups. • Knowledge of digital accessibility requirements.
