Job Description SummaryYou will manage all warranty cases raised by the Customer and coordinate the closure of warranty items with Services Engineering/Sourcing/Technical Advisor/ Customer Contract Manager teams and functions to enable execution and fulfillment of extended scope claims including Balance of Plant and HRSG. You will work on evaluation of customer claims to cross functional reviews/coordination and eventual closure /remedy of defect.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesBeing the point-of-contact with the Owner for all Warranty & Punch List/Defects issues during the Defects Warranty Period.Maintaining the warranty log.Accepting or rejecting Defects claims from the Owner.Conduct suitable initial investigations to validate validity of Warranty Claims raised by the customer.Drive the reviews and actioning of the initial customers’ claims for identified scopes, centerline (Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine & Generator or extended scope e.g Balance of Plants & HRSG.Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, sourcing, fulfilment teams and region on warranty claim evaluation/financial estimate and ensure claims are channeled and approved timely.Organize engineering, financial and operational reviews to ensure the adequacy of the solution, costs estimates and provisions if applicable.Integrate with key members of the region team to develop warranty event schedule, plan and execute activities related to extended scope, BOP and HRSG claims, including Labor / tooling / vendor scoping and oversight.Manage the reviews and progress thru reporting arrangements on progress of the warranty projects with Customers and Internally.Drive project level, cost control and schedule tracking and reporting system/process and implement it with a purpose to report and control variance and improve on time delivery and financial position of project(s).Working with Owner and internal stakeholders to expeditiously resolve disputed Defects.Conduct weekly warranty meeting to discuss open Defects, schedule, status of deliveries, etcRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college;Given the stakeholders and customer background, the incumbent require to communicate in English and Mandarin;Background/exposure in Power Generation equipment installation, operation, service, or technical supportAbility to be based at Taoyuan and subject to relocate to other power plants within Taiwan.Desired CharacteristicsOverall understanding of products & power plantsClosely manage budgets & be able to balance decisions to limit costs & financial exposure (ie repair vs replace, sourcing local vendors to remedy warranty claims)Knowledge on GEV contractual commitments.Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute concrete action plans Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills Ability to work independentlyStrong interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to cooperate and influence customers and internal stakeholders.Additional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: No - This is a remote positionOriginally posted on Himalayas
