Location: This is a remote position; however, the role requires the candidate to be based in Mumbai. Role in a nutshell: BrowserStack is looking for highly skilled and seasoned Chartered Accountant having experience in working on tax matters including GST & Corporate Tax. This role is designed for a technical expert who thrives in the practical complexities of GST & Tax and is eager to manage tax compliance on a global scale. Desired experience: Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6–8 years of post-qualification experience. Industry Experience: Experience of working in industry / corporate structure SaaS Expertise: Prior experience or domain knowledge of the SaaS (Software as a Service) industry is a significant added advantage. Skills: GST & VAT knowledge; Working knowledge of Corporate Tax (Tax Provisions, Advance Tax, and Form 3CD), Experience with ERP system i.e. NetSuite; Automating tax functions through AI; and fluency in written and oral English What will you do? 1. Domestic GST Management Oversee end-to-end GST reconciliations and ensure accurate filing of all returns. Manage the GST Refund lifecycle and lead the preparation of technical responses to GST notices. Managing GST Audits. Collaborating with the consolidation team on audit schedules; reconciliations, etc. 2. International VAT Compliance Take ownership of VAT compliance across multiple jurisdictions (e.g., EU, UK, US Sales Tax), ensuring timely filings and adherence to local regulations. Research and implement tax logic for new international markets as the business expands. 3. Strategic Advisory Provide expert interpretation on the applicability of GST/VAT for domestic and cross-border transactions. Work closely with consultants to optimize global tax structures Collaborate with other functions in problem solving 4.
