Lead Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician

Hephaestus Pharmaceuticals is an early stage Compounding Pharmacy dedicated to providing exceptional service and care to our customers. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team and play a key role in building and optimizing our pharmacy operations. You will work closely with pharmacists and other professionals to provide exceptional service to our customers while upholding the highest standards of patient safety and confidentiality. Please note: This is an in person on-site position located in Doral, FL Responsibilities: Assist in the build-out, launch, and scale of our pharmacy from ground zero, contributing to its success and growth. Establish and test best practices for pharmacy workstreams to ensure efficient operations. Prepare compounded medications and specialty pharmaceuticals under the supervision of a pharmacist, following established procedures and safety protocols. Perform daily, weekly and monthly cleanroom suite support responsibilities according to facility SOP’s Document compounding related activities according to facility SOP’s and as required by USP 797 Report to the Pharmacist in Charge on issues in the lab Completes training as required by USP 797 Day to Day duties of the position: Compound sterile medications Perform daily inventory counts, file paperwork, and stock inventory in sterile department Troubleshoot equipment and basic software issues Document compounding related activities Create and foster a positive team dynamic Assist in other areas as needed (customer service, shipping, compounding) Key Requirements: Must-Haves: Current Pharmacy Technician license or certification in good standing Experience with Pharmacy Management Systems (Pharmetika a plus) Three years experience working as a pharmacy technician USP 797 Training Role Trajectory: Due to the early stage nature of this operation and role, the Lead Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician will join as an individual contributor. As the operation expands, the goal is for the Lead Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician, to manage a team of pharmacy technicians by providing guidance and support to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. This is subject to employee performance. This role will include the following functions but not limited to; Provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members, as well as recognize and reward excellent performance. Educating team members on various processes to enhance understanding and compliance. Creating and fostering a positive team dynamic, encouraging collaboration and communication. Salary Range : $29-$32/hr This salary represents Hephaestus Pharmaceutical's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation for this role at the time of posting, and Hephaestus Pharmaceuticals may ultimately pay more or less than the posted salary. The final salary for this position will be determined by Hephaestus Pharmaceuticals sole discretion, consistent with applicable law, and based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the employee’s work experience, skills, and qualifications for the role, as well as the needs of Hephaestus Pharmaceuticals business and other operational considerations.
