Title:

Lead Software Engineer(Focus Python,Data Science)

Responsibilities:
• Design, implement and deliver robust, scalable, and secure distributed software systems spanning edge and cloud, using Java and other technologies
• Provide technical leadership including constructive code reviews and design guidance to team members
• Work with clients to understand business requirements, prioritize work and provide advanced problem diagnosis and resolution

Key Qualifications:
• Demonstrable track record of delivering complex distributed system projects using AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud services
• Excellent knowledge of enterprise system architecture patterns including data Science, Datamodeling, database design, performance monitoring, tuning, and unit testing
• Experience with common Java/Python technologies and frameworks
• Experience with web technology stacks

Requirements:
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering preferred
• 5+ years of experience developing Java server applications
• Experience working in complex multi-component or multi-vendor environments
• Experience with API-oriented design and REST
• Experience with relational databases, development and optimization of complex SQL queries, and ORM tools such as Hibernate
• Experience gathering and clarifying requirements from different organizations
• Knowledge of Agile Methodology and CI/CD process
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Located in US EST or CST time zones

Desired:
• Experience developing software for automation control or robotics
• Experience in the warehousing, transportation and logistics industries
• Experience developing highly available and resilient software
• Experience with queuing technologies such as Apache Pulsar
• Experience with Postgres and Liquibase
• Experience with dependency-injection frameworks such as HK2
• Familiarity with Typescript, Node.js and React is a plus
• The annual salary for this position is between $1,11,000 - $1,55,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
