Lead Seed Agronomist (Remote)

The role is essential in bridging the gap between technical seed products and sales teams. You will leverage your expertise to provide training and support to internal teams and retail sellers. This virtual position directly impacts local market strategies and facilitates on-farm trials aimed at enhancing seed sales. By collaborating with portfolio managers, you will ensure that local product needs are effectively met, thereby driving the company's success in the agricultural sector. Candidates are expected to be located within the specified territory. Responsibilities • Serve as the main resource for sales staff regarding technical seed portfolio strategy. • Plan and lead local training experiences and conferences to enhance seed positioning. • Develop local seed selling tools in collaboration with agronomists and sales managers. • Conduct local on-farm trials and oversee demo designs. • Partner with portfolio managers to assess local production needs. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field required. • 5+ years of industry experience focused on agronomy and seed products. • Experience in coaching and training on technical agronomy. • Strong understanding of seed crop growth and regional agricultural factors. • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders. • Valid driver's license with ability to travel up to 50%.
