Job Overview:
Join Verizon's innovative Experience Design team as a Lead Experience Designer, where you'll have the opportunity to revolutionize the retail experience for millions of customers across the United States. As a key member of our team, you'll design and deliver end-to-end customer experiences, mentor junior designers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Envision, create, and maintain customer experiences for various consumer-facing products and services
Provide direction and guidance to the design team, sharing expertise and feedback to drive design excellence
Mentor junior designers, helping them develop their skills and connect with core disciplines
Facilitate complex design programs, exploring user context, and engaging in insight-gathering activities
Collaborate with partners in product, technology, and business to drive design solutions that meet customer needs and business goals
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies
Communicate design decisions and rationale to stakeholders, ensuring strong design solutions that meet business objectives


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of work experience
6+ years of relevant experience in experience design, with a portfolio of professional work
Experience with Agile software delivery environments and common design software (Figma, Adobe, etc.)
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
Strong understanding of design principles, human-centered design, and customer experience


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design
Knowledge of HTML, Javascript, and/or CMS
Experience working with design systems and digital product design in a retail environment
Ability to work cross-functionally with product developers and build relationships with stakeholders
Experience leading end-to-end design projects and contributing to multiple design programs or shipped products
