Lead Data Engineer | Remote | AirStrip
We're adding a Lead Data Engineer to our AirStrip team! This role may align for you if you're an experienced SQL Developer and Business Intelligence professional with a passion for SQL Server and a desire to provide best in class database development, data visualization, and reporting to end users. This role will primarily consist of SQL Architecture and Development, ETL, and Business Intelligence development. This role requires attention to detail, ability to work in a complex environment, excellent communication skills, and a strong desire to build clean, simple, and documented data processes to support various business functions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide basic DBA support across multiple SQL Servers
Develop, maintain, and improve existing data pipelines, structures, processes, and BI deliverables
Work with SQL DBAs, developers, and data architects to source, model, and supply data
Model and architect tables to support development
Ensure all code is consistent with source control
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics (commensurate experience in a related field may be considered in lieu of degree)
Minimum 7 years experience development in T-SQL writing complex queries
5 years experience working with Azure development pipelines
5 years experience developing and maintaining star schemas and other data warehouse related data structures
5 years experience developing in PowerBI
Experience modelling and profiling data
Experience with SSIS
Experience in Healthcare (preferred)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Extensive SQL Server Experience
Azure Pipelines
Power BI
Clear and proactive communication skills
The salary range for applicable US-based applicants to this position is below. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications, prior experience as well as geographic location.
$120,200 - $166,000 base salary.
