Lead Cyber Security Analyst - Cloud

Our client is a rapidly growing insurance technology firm looking for a Lead Cyber Security Analyst with extensive experience in cloud environments to join our fully remote security operations team. This role is critical in safeguarding our cloud infrastructure, applications, and sensitive customer data against evolving cyber threats. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive cloud security strategies, monitoring security alerts and incidents, performing threat hunting, conducting vulnerability assessments, and leading incident response efforts. Key duties include architecting secure cloud solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, developing and automating security controls, staying abreast of the latest security threats and technologies, mentoring junior analysts, and collaborating with development and operations teams to embed security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically focusing on cloud security. Proven expertise in cloud security best practices, security information and event management (SIEM) tools, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDPS), endpoint detection and response (EDR), and security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) platforms is essential. Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) and experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) security are highly desirable. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or cloud-specific security certifications are a significant plus. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required to thrive in a remote, collaborative team environment.
