Andersen is hiring a Lead Backend Developer (.NET) with Spanish/Portuguese to design APIs and integration architecture, ensuring seamless claims processing and reliable data exchange in insurance systems.

The customer is a large international organization operating in the insurance and risk protection domain, providing a wide range of services for both individual and corporate clients. The customer has a strong global presence, delivers diversified insurance solutions across multiple lines of business, and is known for its mature operational model, financial stability, and well-established expertise in service delivery and claims management.

The project is focused on integrating an external claim management system with an internal insurance platform. It involves designing the integration architecture and implementing APIs and backend services to ensure reliable data exchange and seamless claims processing.

Responsibilities:
• Designing and implementing backend services using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core.
• Owning architecture decisions and technical delivery end-to-end.
• Leading a team of backend developers and coordinating with QA/BA.
• Reviewing code and enforcing engineering standards.
• Investigating complex production issues and performing root-cause analysis.
• Ensuring performance, scalability, and security of cloud services.
• Participating in deployment and operational support.

Must-haves:
• Experience in backend development for 5+ years.
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET Core / ASP.NET Core, and REST API design.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and practical experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB or similar).
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and driving technical decisions.
• Experience mentoring developers and supporting team growth.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
• Level of Spanish/Portuguese – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Nice-to-haves:
• Insurance / fintech / regulated industry experience.
• Enterprise integration experience.
• Distributed system design experience.
