We are hiring a Lead Backend Engineer to work on a pivotal Federal program that is making a positive impact on millions of Americans' daily lives.What you'll be doing:As a Lead Backend Engineer for the My HealtheVet backend team, you’ll serve as the technical backbone of one of the VA’s most mission-critical digital platforms. You’ll architect and drive the development of robust, secure, and scalable backend services that enable Veterans to manage their healthcare—spanning access to medical records, prescriptions, appointments, and secure messaging. You’ll lead backend design decisions, mentor engineers, perform code reviews, and ensure integration with key VA systems such as VistA and Cerner.
