About the position

The Law Enforcement Officer position at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland involves enforcing federal laws and Federal Reserve policies to protect life, property, and assets. The role requires responding to incidents on Bank property, providing emergency services, and developing necessary skills for effective law enforcement operations. This position operates on a variable schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as part of a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities
• Observe, study, and assist Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officers to learn job skills required for law enforcement.
,
• Control the admittance and departure of employees, visitors, vehicles, and packages to and from the building.
,
• Screen employees and visitors for weapons or other destructive devices using various screening equipment.
,
• Screen vehicles entering the Bank premises, including parking garages and delivery areas.
,
• Develop proficiency in weapons handling, first aid, CPR, and public relations through training programs.
,
• Demonstrate behaviors that support a positive working environment and teamwork.
,
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
,
• Adhere to the Bank's attendance policies.

Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required.
,
• Ability to complete the Federal Reserve System Basic Law Enforcement Course.
,
• Ability to complete the Field Training and Evaluation Program (FTEP).
,
• Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures.
,
• Proficient in the use and maintenance of firearms and approved non-lethal weapons.
,
• Strong customer service and listening skills.
,
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
,
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
