SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA APPLICANTS ONLY Our growing AV rated 9-attorney insurance defense firm is currently seeking a bright law student with paralegal experience to add to our incredible trial team as a Law Clerk in general casualty tort defense. Law students are highly encouraged to apply, position can lead to Associate Attorney when you pass and obtain your California Bar License. Candidate must have the ability to multi-task and work in a very fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Our ideal candidate possesses excellent skills in time management, organization with attention to detail, task billing, and the ability to complete all assigned projects and tasks in a timely and efficient manner. We are looking for a Law Clerk who is willing to work hard, who likes working collaboratively with the attorneys/staff, and has a go getter attitude to excel as part of the team. The Candidate should be a team player, be responsible and accountable, and able to work collaboratively with all employees. Cordial communication and professional interaction skills with office personnel, outside counsel, insurance carriers, expert witnesses, outside vendors, etc. is required. You should also be able to provide trial support and attend trials as needed. Although the position is fully remote, the law clerk is needed for trial attendance in some cases or working on trial documents and should be available if needed to come into the office for trial preparation or to attend trial. You will also be required to provide a minimum of two references for employment verification. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in representing clients in all stages of litigation, including pre-trial discovery, depositions, and trials • Draft and argue motions, legal briefs, and defense strategies • Conduct thorough legal research and case analysis • Provide clear and timely client communication and case updates • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure case efficiency Qualifications: • Minimum 2 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in insurance defense • Strong understanding of California civil procedure and insurance defense litigation • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills • Ability to manage a high-volume assignments while meeting deadlines • Self-motivated with strong organizational and communication skills Compensation & Benefits: • $65/hour • Flexible remote work arrangement • Job Types: Contract Pay: From $65.00 per hour Benefits: • Flexible schedule Application Question(s): • Do you live in the San Francisco Bay Area?
