Salary: $9.00 Per Hour LAKE CHARLES DSW 30 HOURS PER WEEK FULL JOB DESCRIPTION: @Southwest Louisiana Independence Center (@SLIC) is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSW) to provide care 30 hours per week for an elderly male in the Lake Charles area. The scheduled shifts include every other Monday (2:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m.) and every other Saturday and Sunday (6:00 p.m. 6:00 a.m.). Responsibilities include providing personal care and daily living support, which will require assisting the consumer with bathing and other hygiene needs. Med class training (provided by and at SLIC) will also be required, as this is a medication-delegated home. The Direct Support Professional is responsible for the physical care of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to age, illness, injury, surgery, or disability. The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.
