Descriptions:-
The Sensory Lab Testing Technician will be responsible for supporting sensory testing activities and assisting with the maintenance of the R&D sensory lab.
Job Responsibilities
• Support daily operations of R&D sensory lab
• Assist with maintenance of sensory lab (monitoring inventories of supplies, maintaining lab equipment, keeping lab clean and organized)
• Assist sensory scientists with the set-up and execution of sensory tests (discrimination testing, attribute descriptive panels, shelf life testing, packaging usability testing) including but not limited to:
• Upkeep of sensory lab panel schedule
• Panel scheduling
• Product labeling
• Product storage
• Preparation of panel samples/reference solutions/materials
• Labeling cups
• Pouring samples
• Serving samples
• Operation of laptops and associated data gathering software
• Operation of coffee brewers
• Taking care of incoming/outgoing sensory product shipments
• Submitting samples for concurrent analytical chemistry through LIMS portal
• Coordination and prioritization of testing based on direction from sensory scientists
