We have the following requirement in Groton, CT: Job Title: Lab Technician Duration: 5 Months Location: Groton, Connecticut Job Description: Support Bio-specimen Registration/Reconciliation Position Purpose: Assist with technical and logistical aspects of registering, processing, storage & global distribution of bio-fluid samples Primary Duties: Responsible for registering, processing, QC, and shipping of biospecimens into/from the BioBank to support the timely and accurate fulfillment of biospecimen orders Must follow established Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Maintain organized and accurate laboratory notebooks and records Responsible for complying with EHS and OSHA Safety Guidelines Required Experience Laboratory experience, preferably in Life Sciences Preferred Experience Familiar with laboratory operations Experience with handling and processing of biological fluids (plasma, serum, urine, whole blood) Familiar with bio-safety procedures and guidelines.
