Job Summary
We are seeking a Key Account Manager to lead our sales efforts in the Western United States, focusing on Convenience Store (C-Store) accounts. As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing business relationships with key accounts, and driving revenue growth. This is a remote role with the flexibility to work from anywhere, and we offer a competitive salary, performance-based bonus, and comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute business plans for key regional accounts, including C-Store chains and distributors
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including C-Store chains, distributors, and broker sales agents
Manage and direct the business objectives and strategies with broker sales agents to drive sales growth and market share
Manage trade and sales budgets, including collecting unauthorized deductions and optimizing promotional plans
Introduce new products to regional headquarter C-Store chains, distributors, and broker sales agents to ensure comprehensive speed to market plans
Conduct detailed analysis of business trends, including brand share, pricing, promotion levels, and trade class development
Formulate specific actionable plans to address problems and maximize opportunities
Provide and maintain detailed information to management on expenditure vs. sales forecast reports, monthly activity reports, and updates
Manage and supervise promotional plans within the Kantar software program, including managing day-to-day business, % spend, and forecast accuracy
Travel up to 50% to meet with key accounts, attend industry events, and participate in sales meetings
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (business, marketing, sales, etc.)
5+ years of directly related experience in the CPG foods industry at a regional sales management or senior-level multi-market sales management level
Experience managing and influencing broker sales teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive business decisions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key accounts and internal stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior Convenience Store (C-Store) or Food Service Channel sales experience
Experience managing budgetary responsibilities of at least $40 MM
Familiarity with Kantar software program or similar sales and marketing tools
