Description Position at Sherwood South Animal Hospital Sherwood South Animal Hospital & Emergency Center is now hiring a Full-Time Kennel Assistant to join their AMAZING team! This position would be ideal for students in the Pre-Vet or Vet Tech fields. Our ideal Kennel Assistant will: Feel strongly about providing high-quality patient care Have a friendly & outgoing personality Thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond to challenges positively Be punctual and have weekend, weekday, and some holiday availability Be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs Not be afraid to get dirty!Have animal related experience in a veterinary or shelter setting Pet Resort Assistant Responsibilities: Prepare feed for animals according to specific instructions Record important information about the animals' condition, behavior and habits. Report any abnormal findings to a technician Be responsible for the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the clinic and property Assist with laundry and keep the area neat and organized Hold or restrain animals while assisting the Dr or Technician Alert a lead technician or the Dr of any abnormal findings with patients/boardersIf you are passionate about pets and want to begin your career in the veterinary industry, we want you to join our team!
