Job Posting Title: KABC-TV (ABC7) Digital News Intern, Summer/Fall 2026 Req ID: 10138453 Job Description: About the Role & Program KABC-TV (ABC7) is an ABC owned television station (OTV), located in Glendale, near downtown Los Angeles. The station is in the #2 ranked television market in the country. Weekly, our team at ABC7 produces over sixty-three hours of local news, public affairs, magazine programs and public service campaigns! ABC7 Los Angeles has the top TV news website and app in the LA market, and we have the largest social media following of any station in the entire country. The internship program is designed to provide you with an educational experience that complements your academic studies. You will have an opportunity to participate in developmental programming and contribute to daily operations of a major market television station! We're looking for an intern for our digital team, based in our Glendale newsroom. The approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 to mid-December 2026. What You Will Do Write and post digital news articles from various sources, including wires, raw info and TV news scripts Assist with clipping video from TV newscasts Monitor messages from users across social media including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and X, formerly known as Twitter Create social assets, including graphics and vertical videos Required Qualifications & Skills Knowledge of AP Style Experience in and knowledge of using social media platforms to post content High attention to detail and experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment Previous coursework in producing, writing, or editing Preferred Qualifications Previous experience (academic or internship) in digital media and/or journalism (broadcast/print/digital) Experience using Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop Education Junior or Senior year preferred Eligibility Requirements & Internship Information Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements: Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship Be at least 18 years of age Possess unrestricted work authorization Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program Additional Information Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship The approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 through mid-December 2026. Fully available to work 20 hours per week during a Monday through Friday schedule (hours and days to be determined by your supervisor and could include nights and/or early mornings) Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Glendale, California area Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work The pay rate for this role in California is $17.81 per hour.
