Junior Building Envelope Specialist

They are seeking a Junior Building Envelope Specialist to assist with various aspects of building envelope service, including condition assessments, research, and project documentation.ResponsibilitiesWork in all aspects of the building envelope service which includes repair and restoration projects for existing buildings and new construction projectsField review and other contract administrative duties as requiredBuilding envelope condition assessments and forensic inspections of existing buildings to diagnose failures or determine the condition of various building envelope systemsAssist with research of new products and systems as needed to service our portfolio of projectsWriting reports related to field work and researchComputer aided analysis of building envelope details and performance (training will be provided)Assisting with the preparation of tender specifications, drawings, and sketchesInternal roles in the ongoing development our technical standards and design toolsDrawing and specification review for new construction projectsReview of submittals and shop drawings during constructionImplementation and adherence of Entuitive's quality assurance programs to ensure that services meet Entuitive's standards and our client's expectationsOther responsibilities as requiredSkills0-2 years' experience in building envelope consultingBachelor's degree in building science, engineering, or architecture; or equivalent trainingMust have a working knowledge and ability to use programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam (or another PDF mark-up tool)Excellent English language communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to manage complex situations with multiple stakeholdersSelf-motivated with ability to work independently when needed but also enjoy collaboration and working as a teamStrong time management and organizational skillsStrong attention to detail and always willing to learn and improveAbility to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deliverables on an ongoing basisMust be comfortable and willing to work at heights, including climbing ladders, accessing sloped roofs, and working on boom lifts, scissor lifts, swing stages, and scaffoldingMust have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicleKnowledge and interest in building performance, thermal bridging, embodied carbon and climate resiliency and adaptation are considered an assetAccess to a passport and desire to travel for work is an assetBenefitsProfit Sharing: An above-market, performance-based annual profit-sharing program with a strong track record of meaningful payoutsRetirement: RRSP matching up to 5%Health & wellness: Employer-paid health insurance, comprehensive wellness program, and generous parental leaveTime off: Generous vacation plan based on experienceCulture & community: Team-building activities, social events, and a supportive environment where we celebrate success togetherCompany OverviewEntuitive is providing structural engineering, building envelope, restoration, and special projects consulting.
